Sip premium wines and savour world-class cuisine to the roar of nearly 150 iconic cars, as Cape Town hosts the inaugural Speed Classic Cape Town this October, blending luxury lifestyle with motorsport.

On 25 and 26 October, Philip Kgosana Drive will transform into a racetrack with high-octane hillclimb action. The Classics will race on Saturday, 25 October, in a showcase of rare motoring icons, while modern supercars will battle it out for the King of the Mountain title on Sunday, 26 October.

For those seeking the ultimate race weekend experience, the premium hospitality lounge offers unrivalled viewing access. With only metres away from the track and big screens showing every angle of the action, guests will enjoy a front-row view paired with five-star service. Expect a full open bar of premium beverages, barista coffee, and gourmet dining throughout the day.

“From the outset, our vision for the Speed Classic Cape Town was to create more than just a motorsport event. We wanted it to embody a sophisticated lifestyle experience,” says Enzo Kuun, Speed Classic Cape Town Race Director. “Think the Cape Town MET, but with high-octane racing, stylish crowds, luxury touches and an unforgettable race weekend.”

The complimentary menu includes canapés on arrival, a harvest table, sweet treats and snacks, plus themed food stations, including a ‘Proudly South Africa’ offering, a Pasta Bar and more, all with a wide range of choices that cater to every palate.

The VIP Hospitality ticket will also include pit lane access, which offers a behind-the-scenes look as drivers and mechanics prepare their machines for the 1.8 km climb.

The cars on track are as exclusive as the experience itself. Saturday’s highlights include a 1980 Ferrari 208 GTB – one of just eight in the country – and a 1939 Bentley 4.5L Le Mans, the only known example in South Africa. On Sunday, the spotlight shifts to speed with head-turners like the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, one of 11 in the country, a Lamborghini Aventador (one of the fastest naturally aspirated V12 road cars ever built), and a Ferrari 488 GT3.

With limited hospitality passes available, the Speed Classic Cape Town promises a weekend of motorsport combined with a luxury lifestyle experience unlike anything the Mother City has seen before.

For those wanting to live the high life that weekend, VIP hospitality tickets are available for R4500 per person, per day. Up to 9 tickets can be booked via
Webtickets, and corporate bookings can be made via hospitality@speedclassic.capetown.
