History is waiting to be written. We are officially accepting applications for an exclusive, invitation-only hillclimb event taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, in October 2025. 

Speed Classic Cape Town is a pure test of driver skill and machine performance on one of the most demanding new courses: a winding 2.1km climb up Philip Kgosana Drive at the foot of Table Mountain.

This is not just another race. It is a chance to etch your name in the record books as the inaugural champion. We are assembling a hand-picked grid of the most formidable machines and drivers to battle it out against the clock. Do you have what it takes to join this elite field?

Your Path to Glory

The hillclimb time trial format is designed to find the true master of the mountain:

    • An Exclusive Grid: Your journey begins by securing a coveted spot. Entry is by application only, with a committee selecting a limited grid of 80 entrants to ensure the highest level of competition.
    • Battle in Your Class: Go head-to-head against a full grid of competitors in your class. With cars launching every 30 seconds, every moment and every input counts as you fight to qualify for the Class Finals.
    • The King of the Mountain Shootout: The absolute fastest from each major class will advance to the ultimate showdown. In this top-10 shootout, there is nowhere to hide. One run, one chance to lay down the perfect time.

The Spoils of Victory

Glory awaits those who push the limits. We will honor the best of the best with:

    • Class Champion Trophies: Prove you are the top performer in your category.
    • Podium Honors: The top three drivers in the final “King of the Mountain Shootout” will receive trophies and their place on the podium.
    • The Ultimate Crown: One driver will record the single fastest time of the entire event. They will be crowned the undisputed, inaugural King of the Mountain.

This is a one-driver, one-car challenge. It’s the ultimate measure of focus and preparation.
